Mission Statement:

Inspired by a passion for the preservation of lighthouses, Historically Significant Structures, Inc. was established to restore and preserve Execution Rocks Light Station, to operate a historical destination for the public to enjoy, and to educate children and adults about maritime heritage and culture.

Our Board members are from many walks of life. All of us have share a passion for the preservation of lighthouses.

Donations:

We have received a $600,000 matching grant from the New York state parks, recreation and historic preservation office for the restoration of the lighthouse. We still need an additional $1.2 million dollars to complete the restoration, above what we hope to get through the state grant! We are also looking for some folks that would like to donate their boat to help our project. We also need antique furniture, period pieces from the early 1900s. A tax receipt for fair market value can be exchanged.

We hope to open it for overnight stays in addition to the tower climbs we now offer. Our 501c3 status allows your contribution to be tax deductible. Please check with your tax or investment adviser!
